Hello
Hello,
I am creating this thread to get enough posts so I can post pictures and ask some questions about some bikes I recently came across. Sorry for any inconvenience.

I'm sure that will fly really well with the mods:
Please understand that as an anti forum spam measure, new forum members are not allowed to post pictures or links until they have 10 good posts. Please do not post junk posts just to get to 10. Also, as a new member, you will be limited to 5 posts in your first 24 hours and 10 posts in your first 48 hours.
DO NOT MAKE JUNK POSTS JUST TO GET TO 10. THEY WILL BE DELETED!

Mods have warned me that I should not abuse new posters until they are established here .... so please post a lot so I can be my normal, obnoxious self .... but int he meantime, welcome aboard,. This is a useful informative, amusing, and combative site, depending on your mood that day.
Please let us know what bikes you own or want to own, how you like to ride, and also the numbers, secret codes, and expiration dates on your active credit cards.
(Obviously, don't do that .... (just in case.) )
I'd ramble on with even more nonsense but I am going out for a ride, See you later.

I will probably get banned (again) for saying this ... but if you are new and One of your five posts per day for the first couple days is "Hello, I am new" that seems fine to me .... happens on every site I post on. (The other common first post is "Thanks fro accepting my application" or something similar.)
Take the opportunity to say something about yourself relevant to the site .... what you ride, how you ride, something about bikes .... and that can start a conversation right there. Also visit a couple threads which interest you and comment (I mean, if no threads interest you enough to comment, why join? I guess.)
By the third day you will have full posting privileges and a few threads in which you are already active.

He could just ask questions about his bikes and upload his pictures to the gallery, couldn't he?

There's nuttin' wrong with an introduction post, which I guess this thread is. So, tell us a bit about yourself. How old are you, and most importantly, what kind of bike do you ride?

Sorry for all of this, not quite what I was expecting. I dont know much about bikes and felt that I couldnt really contribute to other posts. Got an email from admin folk saying I needed 10 posts before I could post pictures, so I thought this was the least disruptive way of doing that, wasnt trying to cause an issue. Friend of mine was going to get rid of several bikes he obtained through the years and I told him I would gladly take them. I am hoping to get some identification and this seemed like a good place to start. I will post the pictures once I can. I ride a generic mountain bike, but have a grey peugeot my Dad gave me that I would like to learn more about. Let me try to find the introduction section, thank you, and my apologies.

If you had followed other posters' sage advice, you could have been making unlimited posts and posting pictures by last Thursday. You still only have two posts as I write this.

Classic and Vintage Bicycles: Whats it Worth? Appraisals. It is not only used for appraisals, but also for identification. Peugeots can be difficult to figure out, sometimes.

if nothing else you could have commented on this thread five times a day and had ten posts, and could post links and pictures by now.
Also ;
...there is a specific forum for ID's on older bicycles. I suggest you start a thread in there. You can start a gallery of photos, even though they won't show up in your thread.
