Yellow helmet - where to buy? - even possible?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Yellow helmet - where to buy? - even possible?

Is it even possible to buy a yellow helmet? - I say a guy wearing what appeared to be a specialized s-works helmet all yellow. I was driving and he was very VISIBLE. So I want to do the same not to mentions I have yellow mavic shoes so it would be a cool match.

Do I have to paint my helmet to get yellow? or pink or green for that matter like the tour
this just got me thinking if there is someone who paint the helmets for the leaders.

If so, how do you paint a helmet? do you sand it lightly, then prime it and then spray your favorite color and then clear? - the way you would do a plastic model?

I have an airbrush and I am comfortable using acrylic paints, I guess once I seal the pint job with a clear coat there wont be problems with rain or even washing the helmet.

Thanks,

well, what I saw was a FULL yellow helmet. Contador wore a yellow Giro at some point for example. - I did a google search but nothing like that I am looking for.

Specialized does offer some solid yellow colored helmets - but, also consider that white is almost as visible.

We have all yellow Louis Garneau helmets at my store. I use a white Bell myself though.

I have a silver Livestrong "Indicator" helmet with yellow trim.

you can also buy a yellow helmet cover.

but for visibility, you might also consider strong strobes front and rear

I heard that white or silver cars are the least involved in accidents, and that those are the most visible colors? Can't remember if it was white or silver..

Although it's not entirely yellow as you were hoping for, you might want to check out the Bell Ghisallo in black and yellow. I've been happy with mine. The graphics around the back are yellow, which may help with visibility for approaching cars.

I thought it was an artistic humorous portrayal on the pronunciation in the deep south.
Besides,it's bad luck to change an avatar.

Careful on the roads down there. All our driving rejects from Ohio seem to wind up in Soouth Florida.

You can not possibly know how true your statement is. Of course, we get them from Quebec, Ontario, New York, New Jersey and all the other places up that way

I've been wearing yellow Bell helmets for years ... like probably the last 10 years. I'm not even sure how many I've had ... lots. I have picked them up at Nashbar online, and at a Performance in Boulder, CO.

Now if you can point me in the direction of a British Racing Green helmet ......
