With the rise of Gas prices hitting an all time high, I put on a basket on to make my me more "Car Light". (Wald 198.) Anyone else in the same boat?

Yes I am doing the same thing, I already have a rear rack and panniers and plan to buy a front rack and more panniers for grocery runs that sort of thing. I am retired, I have a bike and I have the time so yeah why not. I enjoy riding my bike and it is even more fun knowing I am saving money in the process.

Finally transitions Away from Using a Car
My transmission in my older vehicle finally died 2 months ago so I started using my bike for everything. I had a beach cruiser so I put Wald baskets that collapse on the back. That workes well but isn't ideal as the crusiser is rough when carrying stuff. Yesterday I bought a City Bike, a Biachi Venezia Dama and will pick it up next week...Very Excited. I have wanted to stop using a car for quite a while now and finding it very do-able... update, I've had the Bianchi for about 2 weeks now and it is a dream. The Wald baskets are on the back, I have a wicker basket on the front and a wicker basket on the rack and I can haul a lot of stuff!

Don't laugh but I have basket "moods". I'll have a basket for a year or two - wouldn't do without one. Then I get tired of looking at it and remove it for a year. Go figure. People are strange.
