Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Craigslist, lol.

I would buy it, but it's not my size. Those neon/black Serottas are never my size!!!

Mmm Serotta...

A guy in my commute group (SF2G.com) rides a custom Ti Seven FG. If it wasn't such a workhorse/always dirty I'd take a pic and post it here. I want a custom FG so bad...

That serotta is a beaut. There are a couple of really classy Ti/Carbon lugged Serrota roadie frames at my lbs that I'd be all over if I had the money.

Pic unrelated but still pr0n:

If that's the bike I'm thinking of (I know the photographer, but it's an old shot) then the owner, Val, is a VERY FAST (and attractive of course!) woman on the track. I forgot about her. She was nice!

Edit, yup it's who I thought: https://www.flickr.com/photos/absente...in/set-458898/

People do it with guys. It's just less common. I can think of a few reasons why but don't want to get into an argument. I apologize to you personally if my comment above got your goat.

Maybe they use a brake bridge from one of their ti road bikes so they don't have to fab something new. Big maybe though because it's a high end bike.

Because it makes the bike more useful, and does not take away anything?

Considering I'm fairly certain it was designed for track use, it doesn't make much sense.
