Tomorrow is our last full day in VA, and we'll be spending a good chunk of the day packing for the return trip. With this in mind, I thought that it might be a good idea to throw in a load of laundry. My wife is also getting a jump on things, so I asked her if she was already doing laundry. "No, I'm not."
Cool. I head to the laundry room... and the washer is mid-cycle. I go back to my wife, "I thought that your brother said that they were done with their laundry for the week and that the machines were open?"
"Oh, they are, but I'm using it."
"... but you just said that you weren't doing laundry."
"I'm not doing laundry - I'm washing the shower curtain."
Ugh, great googly moogly.

I still recall the good ole days of flying. You'd park your car 30 minutes before your flight, and had plenty of time to get to the gate.

I took the day off, since I'm definitely feeling below par. This goes against years of "Suck it up, walk it off!" training that tells me you only stay home if you're actively vomiting or are convinced you're on death's door. My crazy old boss used to brag about the day he came to work with a 102 degree fever.

I'd like to think so. Though I did have to instill in both Boys, early in their working lives, that simply being tired because you stayed up late the night before playing videogames is NOT an acceptable reason to skip work.
