Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Cool. I head to the laundry room... and the washer is mid-cycle. I go back to my wife, "I thought that your brother said that they were done with their laundry for the week and that the machines were open?"
"Oh, they are, but I'm using it."

Ugh, great googly moogly.
Sorry, like Mojo31, I have to agree with your wife.

I'm going to go postal if I ever have to wait for another elitist pilot to make his flight. It's just crazy how bad it is with the flight crews.

I still recall the good ole days of flying. You'd park your car 30 minutes before your flight, and had plenty of time to get to the gate.

Of course, that was when people were civil.

Pretty boy kit arrived. A dusty pink sweater would sure be nice for those fall days when there is a chill in the air.

Laundry includes linens, and I would include a fabric shower curtain within that group. Regardless, it's waaay pedantic and ignores the root question being asked.

Wordle 6/6. I blame watching the race while trying to play.

Speaking of the race, that finish-OMG.

Contractually I am required a swedish massage, and a 3 course meal before each flight.

You don’t want me flying tense and hungry.

Better, but not well.

I took the day off, since I'm definitely feeling below par. This goes against years of "Suck it up, walk it off!" training that tells me you only stay home if you're actively vomiting or are convinced you're on death's door. My crazy old boss used to brag about the day he came to work with a 102 degree fever.

I hope the covid pandemic has made that attitude a thing of the past.

I'd like to think so. Though I did have to instill in both Boys, early in their working lives, that simply being tired because you stayed up late the night before playing videogames is NOT an acceptable reason to skip work.

Stupid weather forecast suggests that Saturday will be a washout. I hope that changes, but looks like Saturday's ride will be a no-go.
