Advice please! Cannondale Trail 4 v Vitus Nucleus VRS
Morning all,
After a little advice - I’m in the market for a half-decent entry level bike for following my children around blue trails - I’ve read a bunch of reviews and found decent deals on both the Cannondale Trail 4 SE and the Vitus Nucleus VRS, which are coming out at about the same price, £550. Which would be the best choice for quality of componentry etc? I’m conscious I won’t be flogging the bike really hard!
Apologies for the lack of links - as I’m new I can’t include them!
Thanks in advance
Rich

If it is this bike:
https://us.vitusbikes.com/products/v...-mountain-bike
Then that bike. Air suspension is the key.
The frame and the hubs on the Cannondale are better only for the fact they are modern thru-axle hubs with Boost. But the suspension is the biggest key to a mountain bike and a cheap coil fork is just not worth it. They are both ok bikes in different senses but there are plenty of things that could be changed to make them both slightly better bikes without too much extra on the price if anything at all but that is the industry for you many manufacturers for whatever reason will make silly choices but still prioritizing the front fork would be my top priority.
