Sugino XD-600 triple crank/126mm rear/7spfreewheel/1990Cannondale touring/?BB length
Greetings,
I am putting together a 1990 Cannondale vintage touring frame (58cm) found beside a metal dumpster in new mint condition. I am building it up for touring. My question to the mechanically inclined: what length bottom bracket for a XD-600 Sugino triple (24-36-48) crank with 175 crank length to a 126 rear spread, with 7 speed freewheel (13-32)? What is the consensus:107,110,113? I appreaciate all feedback. Thank you. MotoMan

I set up my triples so the 3rd ring is right over the end face of the fixed/right cup.
[& add a chain-minder]
what does the seller of the crank recommend for BB length?,

Looks like they recommend a 113-118, so for your spacing the shorter one should be it.

I looked at Sheldon's list.. the recent one I used is wrong info. No way a 121 works for that crank on a triple.
Suggest some measuring and/or trial fittings.

110mm BB. If your chainstays are not the bowed kind, which accept 37mm+
113mm BB. If your chainstays are bowed like MTBs.
At least, that's my experience between a 90's CX (113) max tyre:50mm, miyata 615 (110) max tyre:38mm and giant yukon 2010 (113) max tire:2.25"
the smaller BCD allows the cranks to be brought in closer. 110~113mm should give an ideal chainline for 8/9/10sp. Not too sure for 7sp.
