BMX riding really did wonders for my leg strength during the winter months. 20" rules!

I could imagine. I just cranked out 40 miles on my road bike. Riding a single speed BMX? Well, maybe a bit slower, with less crank resistance (or are they all running 9T on the BMX bikes today?) I think I would have lost it a couple of miles into the ride.

I guess this is not especially wacky or C&V but I don't see them for sale too often around here. Mormon elder bike. Priced very reasonably too at $70 for a non suspension but threadless and 24 speed trigger shifter bike

It's clean, but honestly I cannot see over $200 for this Raleigh. I'm just going to let it go and not respond to them. If they are this far off with perceived value, then there'd probably be no middle ground. A shame, because it would fit me decently.,,,,BD

I can't make sense of some of these sentences. Apparently this bike is good for any goal you want to achieve (except for use as a mtb).

[h=2]2004 LeMond Zurich triple - $1200 (Mound, MN)[/h]

This LeMond Zurich triple is a very clean, high quality, multi-functional bicycle. This bicycle won't leave you behind on a big hill climb, but also the fast smooth handling performance ride for city streets or paved trails systems. Outperform, MN's namesake on the bike itself. Two materials on this bike frame made in the U.S.A., the carbon cockpit top frame give the bicycle the performance while the 51cm 853 steel spine (bottom frame) gives the legendary durability and smooth feel. Assistance from the all Shimano Ultegra components ramp up the bicycle's performance and durability that make this bicycle for any goal you want to achieve. Reason I am selling is because I want to buy a mountain ride.

Pedals not included.

All the specs at url below:

There absolutely should be a classification of person based on that. "Well, he's more of a....recumbent type."

Good price probably. Looking it up, it has a weird mix of good Shimano parts - Tiagra flatbar shifters, Deore brakes, XT RD, 105 FD, Ultegra crankset. It all still worked when the world was 9-speed! About the only unconventional parts of it are the things that make it a 'bent.

Burley is also an odd ex-local company.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burley_Design

I think everything was mostly sent overseas in 2006. But the HepCat (and various tandem bikes) were probably built locally here in Eugene.

Yeah, I have a late tandem. No more tandems or 'bents after the reorg. SFAIK the only overseas made tandem was the aluminum Zydeco, though next time I have my Samba out I'll check its sticker.

Raleigh Super Course

its the description that needs worK

This is a Vintage Raleigh Super Course used and in good condition.
It comes with two different handlebars: the original road bike drop bar + a newer and more comfortable flat handlebar.
Brand new brakes and the derailleur (gear-change mechanism) was replaced only few months ago. Shimano gear shifter.

With its light weight an all-carbon frame, the Raleigh Supercourse is set to help you dish out plenty of speed and power.

It might need a bit more than a better description.

Perhaps I should send an E-Mail to see if they'll ship if I send them cash in advance.

Ok, here are a couple today:
bicycle - $15 (echo hollow rd)
Bicycle for sale asking $15.00
Dollar's for it.I think it's either
A 10 or a 18 speed bike.it comes
With a cable for it.you will need
To cut the lock off so you can put
Your own lock on it.it is in good
Condition. Tire's are flat due to
Sitting out to long.they need to
Be pumped up also will include
A air pump with it.
Hmmm... so I suppose any bike that isn't a toddler size is probably worth at last $15. But... what really is it?

And this one... Well... It wasn't stolen!!!

Diamondback...NOT STOLEN - $60 (Springfield)

Center pole brakes,
Cantis?

Actually, that would be a great starter bicycle for the big&tall riders on the forum, although I'd hate to ship a $60 bike across the country.

A few real bargains turned up on Portland craigslist this afternoon. This one was the one that first caught my eye:

Trek Bicycle

A 1985 Trek 300 for $30 -- it's nowhere near my size, but I'd buy that anyway. Even the entry-level parts on it must be worth $30. At first I was thinking, it's obviously stolen and even if it is it would probably be gone before I could finish dialing the phone number. Then I noticed a couple more curiously inexpensive bikes, one with an almost identical description. So I did an image search on the Trek. It turns out it is for sale, or at least was, but in Minneapolis and for $300.

I'm tempted to call just to find out what the scam is.
