Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Can a gravel bike be judged for hotness in a roadie forum, or is dirt too cool to be hot?

With the standard being pro road bikes, a MTB is definitely un-hot.

You are right. I'm blind as a bat, obviously. That Niner on top is hot, that thing below it is unidentifiable.

Niner is hot.

Not qualified to opine on mountain bikes.

Old picture - It has an SR compact crank on it now for the new year as well as a printed saddle.

the gold chain and the red on the wheels takes away from the bike. It’s distracting.

I tend to agree. As someone who started as a MTB’er, then went to road, and bumbled around with CX, gravel riding kind of wraps it all up in one package and touches on many of the things that excite me about riding bicycles. I still ride and enjoy my MTB and road bike, but gravel has gained a big slice of my bike passion pie.

More imagining on the changes. As bampilot says, the gold chain is out of place. Nothing is gold on the bike but that. I can live with the red on the wheels. It seems Campagnolo does that.

Well staged, and that's a very nice bike. Hot, but could be smokin'

I like it better than the others, but I pretty much just never like gold chains and so ignore them. The red on the wheels is echoed on the crank, so it works for me.

I must say I am not a 'fan' of gold chains either but considering I paid $25 CDN for a genuine KMC 11 speed chain I can live with it for a few months. After that it can live on the trainer where it will never be seen again in public LOL Thanks for the encouraging remarks tho. I have been trying to find one of these in my size for over 20 years (for a reasonable price) and even then I could only find the frame and built it up.

Colnagos at a reasonable price is not a concept I am familiar with.
