Anyone going to the Classic Rendezvous in Greensboro, NC?
The Classic Rendezvous is returning to Greensboro, NC, where it was hosted by the local shop, Cycles de Oro, for many years. It's the weekend of June 10-12, with bike shows, seminars, swap meets and several rides planned. I went 10 years or so ago before it left NC and might just go again. The Tour de Guilford was a very nice route.

I will be there. Don't as yet know when I will arrive but hope to catch some of the rides. Really want to catch up with my old crowd as this was where I hung out and rode from. Spent time working for Dale at CDO too.
If possible will be bringing 2 or 3 bikes, my Ratty Bianchi, my SS cyclocross and a Fixed. Depends on how much space in the van there will be.

This sounds like a great time. Next year this might be on my agenda.

I hope to do this one year. It was the very first C&V gathering I ever became aware of and looks like a hoot

It is virtually certain that there will not be another event next year in Greensboro. Nor the year after that. Dale last organized an event about 5 years ago. The name Cirque du Cyclisme was gracefully ceded by Dale when the event moved North. I don't quit understand why it hasn't been returned to Dale now that the event in the North is no longer being held, but there must be some good reason. In my eyes this is a more authentic "Cirque du Cyclisme" than anything that took place since it first left Greensboro and I would not miss it for anything. Like many others, I am treating this as a one-time event that will likely not be repeated, so if you can make, I would highly recommend that you do. DON'T COUNT ON IT HAPPENING AGAIN ANY TIME SOON!

I'll be there, with my Raleigh Team bike and camera. It'll be my first time to attend, and hopefully not my last!

I'll be there, with bells on. Wifey insisted I take stuff to sell, so my car was gonna be full. But we had a sewer backup into our basement this weekend, so most of my basement is now packed into a pod in my driveway, limiting my access to C&V stuff. Nothing of value, except TIME, was lost. So I'm still going to Greensboro, not sure whether I'll take anything to show, or how much swap meet stuff I'll get out of the pod before I head down.
I will have a project of potential interest however. Teasers follow.
Note to Steve: sorry, I owe you an email and call about ride-sharing. I'll ping you as soon as practical.

I have not planned on going, but if I do, I have some saddles to sell, among other things. It crossed my mind that it might be fun to bring the tools and demonstrate how I recover leather saddles.

If you go, I'll bring you my old leather Lepper saddle that is sadly in need of repair. The leather is actually in very good condition but the framework that holds it in place has destructed.

Well, that is potentially interesting! I'd be interested in seeing photos. The fix is probably to replace the frame with another, probably a Brooks or Ideale one, depending on what fits. If you want to pursue this, maybe post a couple photos, and some measurements -- overall width, and the distances between the rivets?

I'm in. Coming in Friday, but will have to leave early Sunday as I'm mixing in a family reunion on this trip.
Definitely bringing the '72 Frejus (á la Legnano), but not sure what else. Maybe the PX10 to sell?
