How does one simply pump air into a seat post...

... a suspension seat post that is based on air compression, not a spring...

" Origin 8 Air Light 0' "

I tried regular foot pump and it didn't work... I removed that cap that's on the other end, and then attached a pump, to make sure air goes through the valve, and it does...

But fully assembled, regular pump can't pump air in it...

What sort of air pump do I need... An air compressor ? Can I use those gas station air pumps ?

Thanks.

I've done forks with my Silca floor pump. A lot of those foot pumps are only good for maybe 40 psi, but you likely need far more than that.

Wish I could tell you what psi range you're going for but Origin8's website sucks.

Probably a shock pump, it will allow you to put 300psi into it if needed.

Shock pumps put in a low volume of air at higher air pressure
Tire pumps put in a high volume of air at lower air pressure

No manual came with the product... I couldn't find any manual on the internet.. Not even on their website.

All It says on the box is that it's "Up to 300 psi (300 lb rider weight)" and "40mm adjustable preload suspension travel"

That splined ring on top, seems like it's made of plastic... It might be an adjuster of some sort... I tried to twist it as hard as I could, but no results whatsoever...

Thanks.

There is a very good chance if you take it to your LBS they will pump it up for you at no charge. Things like that rarely need the pressure checked or changed so it could save you some money by going that route.
