But also "needs general maintenance / service on chain" -- I'd like to see what this go-getter could do there

I bet the back wheel can easily take 28mm. Not so sure about the front clearance to downtube…

Nothing wrong with a Softride beam bike, but I'd be very interested in how the ape hangers work with that suspension stem. Try it out and let me know.

It's so $12k fast, not even the camera could keep up with it.

the 'Ferrari of race bikes'!!

I mean, he's been 'offered up to $3500 for it'.... so it's gotta be worth at least $1000, right?

So many questions.

Never before has the pronoun "THEY" been more appropriate.

Mesinger Schwinn Don't Miss Out! $100

I don't think I have ever seen shifters mounted like this.

Details
  • Condition
    Used - Good
This bicycle is worth way more than asking price. Don’t miss out. Pick up in Hollypond or I can meet halfway if local.

The market for used bikes in the Holly Pond, Alabama area must be pretty hot right now, but I think the seat post might be stuck, so he's asking too much.
Quite the patina on that bike.

I picked up a bike in February not far from there. There must be something in the atmosphere because it also had a lot of patina.

Motorized bicycle - $325 (Waterloo)

https://madison.craigslist.org/bik/d...615471729.html

Stopping a mostly steel bike, plus rider, plus engine and fuel, at 30 MPH, with a '70s vintage single-pivot caliper FRONT brake with apparently original pads, and NO rear brake?

What could possibly go wrong?

Bonus points for the seat post hardware reversal, to put your jewels even closer to the tankful of volatile and caustic fuel. and for the probable 1mm clearance between the left crank arm and the muffler. At least in this case, you can't dis the seller for a "non-drive-side" pic.....
