Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

There's a geographical map there.

I have heard/seen those online that seem to go to extremes to not let the wax escape from the rollers - some recommend letting the wax/chain cool, others go so far as a dunk in cold water - and I wonder if a) it's not really problem or b) it's only a problem if your target wax temp is too high. Per MSW, I let my wax/chain only get up to 200°F and then I pull it. Other than a few drips in to the crock and on to the ground, it seems to stay in place well enough that the rollers are protected as they should be, yet there's not enough on the plates to cause a huge, flaky mess (I mean, I def need to vacuum if I put a fresh chain on before a trainer session, but it's not that bad).

Just spent a long time cleaning up lots of little fragments of asbestos siding which the very expensive abatement contractor left. I guess I can take out some life insurance and break open the piggy bank now.

Sounds like you'll be demanding a partial refund on the bill. After all if they are licensed to remove asbestos and don't remove it all then they shouldn't get paid the full amount. If they complain about that lay a complaint with your local council or licensing body.

No, nor did I wear the respirator I own. The stuff is non-friable and I’ve been walking over and around it for weeks.

My dad is the only person I ever heard use the word 'friable'. Until now

Hi, I'm in L.A. Been riding a 2001 Lemond Zurich for the past 1 1/2 years. Love it.
I picked it up on ebay after my prior reynolds steel frame was stolen

Take care, Roger

Did you spill it on your skin? When Mrs. GeneJockey was getting chemo, they said they had to be really careful placing the IV, because if it got on her skin, it would burn terribly.

Then they pumped a 30 mL syringe of it directly into her vein.

Yes. No burning. It might stain if you left it there too long.

Nice bike. My first road bike was a Zurich ('98, I think). I won a couple of races on that thing. I wish I still had it.

Welcome to BF.
