Euro Seal 68mm Bottom Bracket Question
(Asked this in the mechanic forum and was told it would be a good idea to post it here since it's a BMX bottom bracket)
I'm doing some work on a Framed 29er which uses an internal cupped euro-seal BB. I'm curious why the shells cannot be tightened against the internal spacer without binding? The spacer is an exact fit to the inner race so I was sort of surprised when it stopped rotating. I'll include a picture of the BB.

You're putting side load on the bearing as you tighten. Too much load and the bearing binds. Same as tightening a headset too much.

Send the drive side all the way home and you'll use the non drive side with that lockring to adjust the tension on the bearings.
