Still using my old look pp pedals with delta cleats, never wanted of the keo. I also used the spd 7401 which were shimano clones of the look pp pedals

Look cleats may creak, but never noticed any issues using Wellgo/PowerTap cleats with my PowerTap pedals. Bought a cheap pair of Wellgo pedals for the trainer bike and no creaking there either. I tried SPD-SL but the Wellgos are cheaper and I don't have to use different cleats on different shoes.
