Morally gray suggestion: steal a few milk crates for tools, supplies, parts, and current projects. Each crate is worth about $60.00, so make sure you don't try to lift more than a few at a time (MA felony theft = 250.00.) Because they hold a fair amount of weight and are easy to move, milk crates are great for storage in shared spaces. Also: those small parts holders made by Dewalt/Milwaukee/Bosch et al. are great for holding little bits and pieces; I have two of them, and they hold just about all of my washers, bolts, and weird fittings for particular parts.

Re: milk crates, $60 seemed oddly high, as to value, so I googled. There are actually places selling them for that much and more, logos extra. However, there's a place in NJ called Farn Plast / Milk Crates Direct that sells them for $8 a pop, if you're really jonesing for some and want to avoid liberating them from somewhere.
There used to be a salvage place near me that specialized in selling stuff from defunct companies. They once had a ton of milk crates from some bankrupt dairy, going for a buck apiece. They made for a great storage wall in the back of my garage, wired together and secured to the wall with a few toggle bolts and washers.

Still learning
Been working to declutter and rework the bike man cave, so I can love it again. The Masonite top on the workbench left behind by the former homeowner has been dinghy, dirty, and beginning to crumble a bit.
I had a $21 box of unused click and lock Home Depot Lakeshore Pecan, $.89 psf. A cheap way to resurface the workbench.

Cccccccold!
Not too bad the first couple of hours...actually 4* warmer than when I first went in! Dry though. I left the inside door open as I moved some of the bike projects around. I usually love my metal topped work bench!

I wish I had something to add, such beautiful and organised workspaces. I have a spare bedroom that serves as the bicycle cave/workspace that serves as a clean assembly area and complete bicycle storage.
The garage is a bit cramped as it serves as a micro machine shop and automotive maintenance bay, with my wifes Volvo and three motorcycles in there... stuffed.
I'm sorry to say the limit of my organization is keeping separate tool boxes for bicycle, motorcycle, automotive, and machine work.
