Both have clasps for the small pockets in the back, but they're different. The TA bag has a map pocket, the LaFuma has a piece of leather crudely hand sewn where the map pocket would be - obviously a repair job.
I posted these picks on Flickr, Dave Cain of Waxwing Bags commented that he got started making bags when he found an old TA handlebar bag in the trash behind a bike shop and used it to make his first templates! BTW, he's made a few custom bags for me, and I can highly recommend him if you're interested in a Handmade in America, quality custom product.
