Cyclocross Worlds 2013
Anybody know about ticket sales for Louisville 2013? When they'll be available and how much they'll be?
Also, anybody know how many spectators will be there? Sounds like it will pretty big. Very excited for it already

I would be more concerned about lining up your transportation and lodging.

That might be a lot of drinking.

Get out your helmet cam and do a couple laps, on the Pro's course,
before they take it all down, and post the video.

I imagine someone with a more professional setup than a point-and-shoot duct taped to a helmet will do that.

A few years ago that would have been the case. Now I'm married and have a six week old.
I do hope to be there the entire weekend as a spectator with a bottle of bourbon to keep me warm.

Anyone from the Louisville area know what the weather is like in early February when the worlds will come? Should I be expecting mild temps and grass, or cold and snow?

Weekend Passes: Check
Hotel Booked: Check
6 Hour drive from Pittsburgh Feb 1st: Totally going to be worth it!!
I worked every local CX race as a USAC official this past year, so I don't see much more then the start / finish lines during the races. Going to be great to see the worlds elite, and just be a heckling, cowbell ringing maniac for once...

Flargle is right. This past weekend saw temps of 70F and lots of rain. There's no telling what it'll be like, but I'd expect temps in the 30s-40s with relatively high humidity.

Yes I lived in Louisville for about 4 years and it's been brutally cold or nice and warm on any given January day.
I'm still on the fence about going. I've got a place to stay but my vacation time is limited unfortunately at this point.
I like the bottle of bourbon Idea. Yes yes Makers Mark would be a fine choice.

Leaving on Friday. Pretty excited.
For any locals of Louisville out there, hows the media coverege and advertising on the race down there? City completely clueless about a world championship or are people getting behind it?

Any advice from locals on tickets, parking, access to course, etc.? I'm thinking about driving up and back from Nashville on Sunday for the pros.

Look at www.Louisville2013.com for event schedule, tickets, and parking information. You'll have to walk from parking to the race venue as they closed the road. I'd probably park west of the venue on River Road (or worst case at the YUM center, if all the lots are full). It could be a little bit of a walk depending upon which lot you can get into.
There has been some coverage in the Louisville newspaper and on the local TVs. If nothing else, they talk about the road closure due to the races...
