Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I like how almost every bike in here has a Brooks or a Flite-ish saddle.

I love the look of your bike in both setups, really clean and very nice components. however that rear hub is sitting at the end of your dropouts, add a half-link for safety man I would have to see you post this bike wrecked or you injured because of it.

Yeah heh I know, I know. I'm mainly procrastinating because my rear brake doesn't have a long enough reach and if I go a little bit further up in the dropouts the pads will rub against the tire. And the skewer's actually biting onto a bit more dropout than it appears to in the photo. Thanks though.

My schwinn Varsity conversion - this is the day I bought it. I've since added foot rentention & bullhorns, other than wheels it's stock - and HEAVY, but a good beater & my first fixed.

New frameset on order, coming in this week & should be built up by next weekend - can't wait!!!

too bad the cutter only comes as a ss.
afaik, the hub does not have threads for a fixed cog and lockring.
