Hello-

I need to empty some hooks and these cosmetically challenged fine steel frames need to find new homes. I can send you detailed photos and complete descriptions, just send me a PM and I'll get back to you promptly.

(*** all measurements are center to center***)

1983 Univega Gran Turismo (frame, no fork)
seat tube 24.5" & top tube 22.5"
Japanese made lugged unknown tuning

1984 Trek 830 (frame, no fork)
seat tube 21.5" & top tube 22.5"
USA made lugged Reynolds 531 tubing

1988 Nishiki Ariel (frame and fork)
seat tube 17" & top tube 21"
Japanese made tig welded double butted 4130 frame and fork

1992 Trek 950 (frame and fork)
seat tube 19" & top tube 22.5"
USA made lugged double butted True Temper OX II frame with lugged Tange "Big Fork" triple butted CrMo

I have plenty of builds going at any given time, if you see a frame that you can use, send me a PM and let me know what you like to trade. The only thing I need is a modern steel frame 26" BMX style dirt jumper (for example Redline Monocog) for my nephew. He wants one and I want to help him out, obviously I'll have to add frames, parts, or cash to square the deal.

Thanks!

Thanks for the reply and neat to see DA EX pre 1980 stuff. Wish I could use it but I don't think any of the DA will work with the 1/8 x 1/2 chain pitch.

The chainring doesn't have to be 1/8" to work with a 1/8" chain.

Yes, it works. Finding Dura-Ace in 1/8" is just costly. Its mostly track specific. Most BMX and track chainrings are 1/8". The problem lies in the fact that track and early BMX stuff is getting harder to find. Especially pre NJS stuff (marked BIA). I can probably acquire one such chainring but it will likely be pretty costly.

Thanks for correcting me and realize they work but I'm after a thicker 1/8" stiff chainring, especially if aluminum. The ride its going on is very much vintage but lacking some higher speeds. It has a chunky 3 speed rear hub with a single steel 46T chainring cotter crank. The goal is adding a 52T and front derailleur.

Edit: Thanks all and found what I needed. As luck would have it, fresh listing of a vintage NOS ring on fleabay looks good.

Hi

I recently purchased a used Cinelli 1A stem. 130mm. 26.0 clamp. It has minimal marring to quill.

It is not going to work for what I need as it is actually too long for me and also I would prefer a straight bar rather than the angled bar. I am not sure of the precise angle but it can be seen in the photos.

I would like to swap for a shorter 1A Cinelli stem with a 26.0 clamp and flat rather than angled. Ideally I am looking for a 100mm length and angle of -10 to 0 degrees so that stems ends up angled up past horizontal.

Happy to answer any questions.

Best

Andy

Trade:

2 NEW Panaracer Pasela's, all black, 700x32 with the tags still attached. Just the basic model, nothing fancy, but new none the less.

7/8spd 105 front/rear derailleurs. Used, but very functional.

7/8spd 105/600 downtube shifters

7/8spd well used 105 crank, very functional w/ 52/42 Biopace rings. Lots of rub wear on the arms but would polish up fine. 172.5

Wanted:

Two decent tires of similar quality to the Pasela's, 700x25

130 BCD Sugino or SR ring, 46-48t

Suntour drivetrain bits

you won't find a Cinelli 1A stem with 0° or even -10° angle, all these, intended for road bike use, will have approx. -17° angle. If you expand your choice to any brand of 1" alloy quill stem with that angle, you'll have much better luck, but finding one with a 26.0 clamp diameter may be a real killer (you might find a Japanese stem such as a Nitto that spec'd 25.8)...if you can bear to use a different handle bar your % goes way up.
