Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I sold my 2010 frame for $800 with a crankset stem and post...

I'd say $1200 if it's in good shape...

maybe sell the wheels separate, or put some cheap ones on it to sell it.

56 cm White with red lettering. I don't have pictures, but he has about 6 bikes, so this didn't get that much usage. And he's anal about keeping it clean.

A new CAAD 9 with Rival retails for $1699. Why would anyone pay $1,200 for a used one with no warranty?

Login and search EBay for what you're selling then click completed listings. It will show what past sales have gone for (green price) or didn't sell (red price). Check the details as there are oddball configs, damage, etc.. GL

it's worth more but i'd say about 7-800 complete if you want to make a quick sale. truth is, people usually don't care what upgrades were done. if you don't want to lose too much money, either turn it back to stock or part out the pricey bits.

For someone that wants to buy a CAAD 9 - less than you think...

For a non-CAAD lover - well, the price you think it should be is irrelevant.

It's worth riding, that's for sure.

I bought one (full 105) from craigslist for $750.

For the Easton EA90 SL's...I wouldn't pay $1200 but that is a good starting point. I would consider this bike a deal at around $1000.

My guess is $800. Upgrades are useless... unless you want to offer the original parts instead of the "upgrades"? Don't have the original parts? Sorry, very little additional value in perceived upgrades. Chances are, your upgrades are not what someone else would upgrade to, so they are worth about as much as stock parts, maybe less.

If you sell it on ebay you should start it at a bid of 1 dollar. When I was looking at new bikes I noticed the ones with low starting bids normally got more money then the ones that started around market value. You should be able to get 800 for it but I wouldnt be surprised if you got just over 1k. Just clean it up and take lots of good pics.

If it's in good shape, I could see it selling for $1200-1400.

People are going to say how you can get a CAAD10 with Rival and BB30 for a bit more, but just mention the better Ritchey components and wheels.

A good way to check is to put it on eBay or check completed listings of bikes with similar specs. If you're selling it on Craigslist, you can sort of guess a market price after you get a bunch of low balls and scam offers.

What when I sell a used bike is to put it on Craigslist at a price 20% more than what I want to sell it at. From there, I'll get some offers (don't be discouraged by lowballs) until I find a few people interested in the price range I'm looking at. From there, I'll meet with them and depending on how friendly they are and my mood, I'll vary another 10% from the price I wanted to sell.
