yes - for me at least - i haven’t changed one of the shifter batteries yet but i believe there’s one in each, plus the shared battery for the FD and RD. one less battery than SRAM.

I carry a lot of spare batteries for my two cameras enough for a four-hour ride.
And then there are the usb batteries on my headlight and smartphone.
AA batteries for two of my rear lights.

Lets see... a Cateye Volt 1700 as main headlight, a Cygolite hotshot as my rear light, a Planet bike bottle blinky for side lights, and a Cateye volt 800 attached to my helmet. So four lights. Unless I am travelling with my lappy there would be a battery there too.

I counted as two, one each for the headlight and the taillight. Headlight is a ~2009 Cygolite Rover II LED, has a 4x 4/3A NiMH battery pack. Still on the original pack and I've made a backup pack with 4x AA NiMH. Use it for morning work commutes about 1/2 of the year, not much more than that. And, a 2xAAA Planet Bike Superflash for the rear.

Actually in my bike four: SRAM AXS ETAP FD/RD and L/R shifters but how many batteries do I carry besides the group set is 6: cadence and speed sensor, Varia Radar, light on helmet, computer, and cellphone
So technically 10 total or 11 if you count my Apple Watch which I do use to monitor my heart rate

I voted 2. Every one of my most-ridden bikes has a simple wired bike computer, and the fixed-gear I use for most of my commuting and club riding has a USB-rechargeable tail light. It has a dyno-powered headlight, and my rando bike has a full complement of dyno lights. I will probably mount a battery tail light as a backup for long brevets, bringing it up to 2 as well.
Otherwise, I try to keep the number of gadgets (and the number of batteries I need to maintain) to a minimum...

My bicycle is analog, but i usually have on hand 2 i phones , a Garmin watch, maybe a Garmin cycle computer , and air pods at times -- so 6 at most if i am running all of that at the same time

As many as 10 in the winter. 12 if I rode my touring bike which I don't generally do in the cold anymore, my mountain bike / fat bike don't have wireless sensors. I don't bother with an HR monitor anymore, so that would have been an additional 1 in the past. To count individual cells add an additional AAA for my tail light and 10 more 18650s for my 2 6 cell headlight batteries.

In general none, occasional night ride means tossing a front light but I charge it after and don't install till the next night ride. The computer is sometimes one, but I usually forget it, according to garmin I'm up to 5 rides for the year, but I've really done that many in the last 10 days. Rest of the bike is mechanical.
My daughter however has a battery in each shifter, one in the rear derailleur, a computer, and we need to add a cadence sensor. We also keep a spare der battery in the seat pack, so I think she has more batteries on her one bike than on the other 24 bikes in the house. Guess that's what happens when your 11yo has the newest bike and your primary bike is older than her.

Four, on the rando bike. Lots 'o night riding.
Primary lights are dyno. Phone is off and stowed.
I always intend you add a backup headlight on 1200s, but it's still frickin heavy I never do.

My primary ride mostly has three, sometimes four; two for the wireless computer and one for the bolted-on tail light. I don't usually ride after dark anymore, but I have a headlight when I do. My other bikes don't have computers, so one each for the tail light. I'm boring.
Oh wait; I just harvested four spoke lights off a bike I don't ride anymore! I'll probably transplant them onto my primary ride.
