Hey, I’m Steel Raleigh From Florida
My real name is James.
I just got into biking. Well that’s kind of a lie; I’ve been biking my whole life. But I just got realllly into biking. I just bought a vintage Raleigh a few months ago, and it just so happened that my car broke down 2 weeks after I acquired it. Thus, I have been commuting on this bike every single day, and I’ve loved every minute of it. Some nights I will just cruise around town when it’s cool out and just enjoy the breeze.
Anyway, I popped my first tire yesterday 😭, and I stumbled upon this forum while researching tire sizes. I can’t post a link but the post was titled, “Raleigh All Steel Bike - Tyres?? Wheel size??” LOL. It was great to read everyone’s responses, and I got enough info to figure out that I need to go scope out my bike now. I actually just made an account to see OP’s bike pics.
Anyway, seems like a good community here, so I hope to interact with you all soon. I’ll post pics of my bike once I get enough rep to do so. Thanks!

Cool cool. I just joined recently, and I am going through the learning process.
I have been looking at getting an older touring bike kind of setup for riding.

Similarly found my way trying to find info about my old bike. Definitely feeling a bit over my head but excited to enjoy the road this season!
