1942 Schwinn New World Three Speed

For sale: 1942 Schwinn New World three speed. WWII era frame and fork. Post-war matching New World fenders. Black out headset. BF Goodrich badge. 21.5 inch frame on 26 inch wheels. Schwinn built levers and brake calipers. Early, wide type (very comfortable, I find) Schwinn Superior bars. Bars have some areas of spot-fill with chrome powder (see handlebar photos - blends fairly well). Wald stem. Pre-war style wire fender braces painted black. Original red paint with light matching touch-up here and there. Some gold pin stripes still left in places. Sturmey quadrant shifter. Post-war Schwinn S6 wheels and white wall tires. Hubs have been cleaned and re-lubricated. New brake cables, housings and pads. Raspberry rear reflector. Dogleg crank with four-hole sprocket in decent shape. Big, pre-war style art deco wing chain guard. 22 tooth rear cog. Reproduction teardrop black Schwinn grips. Old Lycett horsehair mattress saddle. Reproduction wing/tear drop pedals. Made in USA blackout Greenfield kickstand. Nice old Miller bell that has a really nice ring. Not a totally original bike, but a really comfortable bike and a good looking one with plenty of class.

$250. Bikeflights shipping to the lower 48 states would be additional if needed. Local pick up also available in Litchfield, Connecticut.
