Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

It’s sick how accustomed to fake miles I am becoming.

Just take it very easy at first and don’t over-commit. Anyway, your heirs and assigns will be comforted by the fact that you were doing what you loved, even if you go wishing you’d stayed in the rack.

Fun fact: we lived in Dauphin County for 3 years when I did my medical residency at Hershey Medical Center.

Fun fact - I grew up two counties away in Adams County, but I had relatives in Hershey, whom we visited frequently when I was little - it was my Dad's sister's family, and Dad was really close to his siblings. BUT I never smelled chocolate there or visited the Hershey Chocolate Factory.

When I was a kid in the 1970's we went to Hershey and back then you could actually get a tour of the chocolate factory.

When we moved there in the late 90's, they had eliminated the factory tour and replaced it with a Disney-esque faux factory *** giftshop travesty called "Hershey's Chocolate World."

edit: fun fact, the stupid censor won't let me use the 3 letter word, starting with c and ending with m, that means "combined with" because it's stupid.

Always wanted to do that when I was a kid. Had to settle for the Beechnut factory in Canajoharie, NY. They gave out gum and Lifesavers but no baby food.

Think I figured out the chain skip-

1 - there was about 15mm between top of pulley and bottom of cog on the biggest cog, fixed that

2- high limit was a little inside the smallest cog

3- took off and reinstalled cassette, nothing wiggled, but figured why not.

it all sounds better, I’ll know how it took when I ride outside this weekend (hopefully)
