New race cruiser build - TRUE

I had a heavily used 15yo Redline Proline. I never really liked it, but it let me race cruiser class.

I picked up this True frame, got a StayStrong front wheel, built myself a rear wheel with Excess hub and rim, bought some Supercross SLT forks... I love the IRC Siren tires too.

Rode it on the track for the first time yesterday. It feels MUCH better than my old cruiser. I'm going to start acting my age and ride the cruiser a little more this year - I only did 3 cruiser races last year.

Great bike! I like how you pieced it together.

After a couple more rides - the mechanical disc brake is coming off in favour of a magura mt-sport

Nice setup! I went with Hope on both my Cruiser and Class race bikes. Hydraulic is silky smooth and nothing to adjust once it's setup.

Yea - I don't really like cable disc at all, but brakes aren't really that big a deal in BMX - but it just didn't have enough braking power for the one-finger-safety to do anything on manuals. Even with a 140mm rotor.
