Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

he’s riding alone - he might have a GoPro (or similar) in addition to his phone

he’s doing the route shown above

I got in a serious MTB ride today (in excess of 40 kilometres).

Sure hope I don't have to do anything tonight.

Dunno. That's 3 hours out though, all kinds of things could come up before then.

A friend of mine is birding down in Texas right now. I think he's added 3 or 4 to his list already.

If I really wanted to I could wake up really early and be chilly, but I didn't leave the ritziest apartment in Flagstaff 'til 10am this morning and it was already shorts weather by then.

yeah, there’s enough going on to not worry too much about riding for a few weeks. the arm is much better, as is the foot. ribs hurt like a MF, especially coughing or sneezing, several broken but no treatment required, just suffer through it!

Package tracking update. Hoods are now in San Mateo. SHOULD BE delivered today. But I'm not holding my breath. They wouldn't be delivered till this afternoon anyway, and I'd pass out long before that.
