My FnHon Gust 16", 2023
Following the completion of the Tour-de-Korea 2023, I disassembled the FSIR Spin 3 bike that accompanied me on tour, and moved many of its parts to an incipient, incomplete build I had on hand. With the infusion of parts from the FSIR, a new bike quickly coalesced, an impromptu melange of mostly used and some new parts: a Blue Chameleon FnHon Gust 16" with ETRTO 305 wheels.
New to this build are the following parts:
New to this build are the following parts:
- Avid Single Digit 7 brakes and brake levers
- Shimano Ultegra BBR60 bottom bracket
- Litepro chainring, crank-arms and headset
- Promend removable pedals and handgrips
- Aceoffix alloy front block mount

Very nice colour. Can you fit mudguards on this frame?

After installing the cabling, chain and grips, the Gust 16" is now road-ready and operational.

I don't have a way of weighing it, but I reckon it's below 10 kg, around 9.5kg. It's far from a clunker or a boat anchor, but heavier than the under-9kg FSIR Spin 3 that it replaced.

Zizzo has cloned the Brompton front block as well. I think compatibility/standardization in cycling components is good for the consumer.

Yeah...you may be out of luck then regarding weight. On a related note, I'd say to stay away also if you are taller than 175cm. It's not really a bike for taller folk. And yes, paint and weld finish as well as hinge quality are all very good. For the price - I paid $170 towards the tail end of the pandemic - it's a no-brainer, really.
