What Is Campy's Ergopower?
I have a 98 Bianchi Veloce w/ the Campy Veloce gruppo. Was wanting to replace the cables (and housings for the literal types lol) and all I see is "Ergopower" cables. What is 'Ergopower' and what is not? Was Ergopower a 'range' of gruppos?

Ergopower is a generic name for Campagnolo's shifter design as opposed to Shimano's STI nomenclature or SRAM's double tap

Make sure you get Campy derailer cables, or take a file to the end piece if you have to use Shimano. The Shimano variant is slightly larger in diameter, and it's a b**** to get out of the Campy shifter.
Any housing will do. You may need to find or re-use a step-down ferrule.

I've been using Jagwire cables/housings for years with my Chorus 10 setup - Every few years I buy a set which comes with all the required ferrules etc - works great

Gotcha. Yea I was looking at a Campy set and it said ergopower, so that's what made me ask. I'm an old school rider that bought a new school bike for the wife and I wanted to change a few things on it, but have no real clue about the newer campy gruppos. Thanks guys.
