Oh, yeah. That's lots better than where it was.

And I was hoping to swap for wild women...

FOR SWAP: 57cm ctc '71 Motobecane Le Champion frameset with Stronglight headset. Reynolds 531 DB tubeset. Was top of the line Moto frame of the day, but this one's too tall for me. Swap for another similar Moto frameset around 53-54 cm ctc.? Team Champ, Le Champ, Grand Record or Grand Jubilee considered.... Other quality frames from the mid '80s and older considered too.... Watcha got? PM me if interested (wild women too...

Got 2pair of really nice tubular rims I'd like to offer. Gold Fiamme 36h rims and Mavic Monthlery Pro 32h rims - the Monthlerys look like MA2s but are tubular - both pairs are in very good shape. Also a pair of excellent condition Campy Record low-flange 28h hubs for trade.

I have a late '80s Schwinn road bike I'd like to convert to 650b rims so I'm in the market for rims, spokes and tires for this project. But I'm interested in considering anything bike-related!

I have a variety of vintage parts (Normandy hubs, 27" wheels, vintage brakes, stems, seats, bars) that I'd like to trade some of for a Shimano Nexus internal 8-speed hub with shifter.

I have a Raleigh Competition (Carlton) with 700c wheels and Suntour Superbe brakes. Size is about 57cm/23". Rigida rims laced to Campy Record high-flange hubs. Campy deraillers. I'd be happy to trade for something similar (i.e. vintage lightweight, Reynolds 531 tubing) in a 54cm/21" size.

OK - I went through my parts. Maybe I can convert some of these to parts I can use through trades. Send PM with any proposals.

Have:

Phillips - Fat, white, ribbed, brake cable housing and cables - 60" - for rear, barrel ends, NOS (I have 2)
AFA - chromed clamp-on pump head holder (2)
SunTour A/R rear derailleur - bolts to dropout hole (from 1983 Nishiki Marina)
Peugeot rear derailleur - axle mount (From 1981 Grand Sport - aka U08)
SunTour stem mount power shifters
Sugino - alloy cotterless crankset, 170mm, 52 and 40 teeth. Also have BB and spindle (from 1983 Nishiki Marina)
Maillard-Atom-Normandy Front axles w/cones for q/r, NOS, have 3 to trade
Normandy 36 hole, High flange rear hub - spaced for 120 (I think), w/ Atom skewer

Things I could use:

Pair of cradle tops (normal width) for two bolt seat post.
Fuji, Fujita or Belt leather saddle (riding condition).
Black and/or silver V-brake levers - matched set (I'm trying to build up a MTB that some might call vintage)
V-brakes, f/r. - silver or black & silver
Black and/or silver shifters for MTB derailleurs - matched set (3/7 speed)
Ofmega low flange rear hub shell
Campagnolo Nuovo Record front derailleur, no holes, rounded (riding condition)
Brake blocks that Fibrax 245 brake pads will fit into
Shimano front derailleur - triple for MTB 28.6cm
Shimano rear derailleur - 7 speed or better - dropout hole mount - for MTB

Darn, Koffee, I don't have a lot of bike parts to trade for bike parts but I was going to offer rebuilding of vintage vacuum tube radios to trade for bike parts, but I guess I can't do that can I? Is that really a picture of you?

I have a 120mm Cannondale CODA stem about a -7/-10deg 1" threaded, polished aluminum, removable faceplate, light and clean. Originally it was about $60 but I'm not using it so I just as soon see someone get some use out of it. Its a good update for a vintage bike that makes it a bit more modern while retaining a classic look. Used it for a season but I'm threadless now. Let me know if you want it, and if you have anything to offer. I'm not looking for much!

I am looking for a Raleigh-threaded, cotterless BB.

Don't really have too much to trade, maybe a Raleigh GB stem and bars, cotterless cranks, Huret derailers, some suntour derailers and shifters.

I've got a full build kit taken off a 1967 Norstar( I've never heard of them either !) that I'm converting to a single speed. there is a set of Campy Valentino extra derailleurs and shifters, the brakes and levers are Bramilla, a 39cm alloy bar and an approx 50mm stem, no name steel cotter cranks and a set of unidentified 27" alloy wheels with a very nice 5 speed cluster, I saved all the relevant cable guides and housing ends. These parts are in the lower end of things but they are in good shape, the bike I took them off cleaned up very nicely with a bit of spit and polish and although I haven't done it yet I'm sure the parts will clean up nicely, the cog set, cranks and chain look very clean.

I'm looking for; a C-record front mech(clamp on)
a set of 1980's Campy brake pads
Med sized Campy or Cinelli toe clips and straps
talk to me,
'Rasher

I have a bunch of ca. 1980 'arabesque' shimano 600 stuff that I'd like to trade or something.

Shimano 600 clamp-on downtube shifters
Shimano 600 brake levers, no hoods, a little road rashed
Shimano 600 r. derailleur

I dunno what I really need, PM me with an offer or something.

I always need selle italia turbo saddles, or perhaps a flite.

I've got a pair of 1998 - 1990-ish Shimano Aero single-pivot brake calipers; they're not marked with model name - the German site simply identifies them as "L Aero". 47-57mm reach; recessed mounting. I'd be interested in trading for similar short-reach brakes.

I'm also looking to complete a Suntour Superbe group; still need brakes and levers and (possibly) crankset. The earlier the better. I've got a lot of stuff to potentially trade, so if you've got the Superbe stuff and are looking for anything in particular, drop a PM with your wants.

Thanks!

I believe I'm in need of a french threaded bottom bracket for my UO-8. Preferably one narrower than what's provided stock? I have some random road bars, and some weinmann calipers I could trade? Maybe some other stuff. PM me!

Mods - you can delete this one, the tires have been acquired.

As a heads-up for anyone else looking for cheap and decent 27" tires, I wandered into a Performance yesterday and they have thier housebrand Forte GTII in 27x1-1/8 and 27x1-1/4 for something like $5.72 each. With my Team Performance discount, they came to $5.02 each.

These are not gumwall - they are all black. I mounted a pair tonight on a set of older Araya rims. They went on with a bit of a struggle, but look good and should ride nice.

Free to good (or bad) home, Scott aero bar from the early 90's. Had this on my Premis, and I hated it. You might, too, but it's free. I'll post a pic tomorrow to show the ugly neon-colored "SCOTT" sticker on the side. Comes with the armrests and attaching hardware.

Bars are gone to a new home. Isn't this forum wonderful?!
