The forecast scared everyone away. Forcasts are never very accurate for Pasadena and the ride unfortunately. Hope to see more of you next month? --Chuck

I guess these three would be the Hard Men of the usual group that attend under better circumstances?

Haha, I was tinkering in the garage and kept looking out the window, wondering where the rain was and if some brave souls would show up. Hats off to those who did!

Hats Off to the 3 Hardmen of Pasadena !

I woke up to black clouds ,but no early morning rain as predicted by Briana Ruffalo .. It started raining buckets as soon as the ride finished . The sexy Weather chick on channel 7 Lied to Us ! She gets a free pass though..See You all next month.

According to a couple of the guys , the upcoming Velo Retro RoseBowl ride is going to be a , "bring Your BASSO" ride. So if you have a Basso, there will be a few guys riding theirs on the next ride. This was My old Basso Gap that I sold last year when I thinned the herd. 19.5 Pounds and extremely great riding bike. a Litespeed Classic took its spot in the garage so Im not sad .

Like Doc said, 3 from Portlandia, 2 from Virginia, 1 from Boston will be there. I'm taking my Ritchey Breakaway, which isn't quite as vintage as you usually get on this ride.

It will be Great to have you all there. The attendance has been getting steadily bigger with every ride with the exception of last month. It looks like the Retro Bike scene Rides in the area is more attractive to the cycling community .

Sunday looks like its calling for long sleeve and/or light rain jackets. I'll still ride. It's been a while since I've done this event.

The gang from the PNW interprets "lights showers" as a wool jersey day. Rain jackets for you SoCal types.

Yea I have plans with my neighborhood buddies . We are all recovering from our surgeries or medical procedures but we are doing our first group ride together since last year. I will probably ride one of my patina bikes , either the ItalVega or Raleigh Pro , just in case it rains. I am about an hour north of Pasadena . You guys have a great time (like you need my permission!) and stay safe ….OH ! and pics please! Joe

My buddies aren't really into the classics like I am. They get a real kick out of me reaching down to shift and I get a lot of friendly teasing. I doubt I could convince them to make the drive with me. It's funny , when we are out and about , stopped for coffee , or whatever , the only bike that gets any comments is one of my classics .One of these guys spend thousands on his carbon or titanium bikes!!
