Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

The problem is that the ones on the wall need to be staggered so that the bars are at different heights, thus allowing the bikes to be hung closer together. That should get you two more on the wall. Also, hang them higher so it's easier to stand them under the hanging bikes.

The white wall tracks are 48" to give you some scale.

The bikes on the wall are already staggered bars up/bars down/bars up. They have to all fit in 4 feet. Your 4 foot long rack with 4 bikes has handlebars extending a foot past the rack on each side, which I can't do - wall on one side, door on the other. If I could move the file cabinet and the printer out of there as well as the bench, I could slot another bike in there. But then I'd need a space for the file cabinet and the printer, as well as someplace to store my helmet, shoes, etc.

There are three bikes hanging on the wall.

Mrs. GeneJockey's approach to decluttering works like this: Put clutter that accumulates on table into basket. "Organize" by dividing stuff from basket into several file boxes. Put file boxes someplace. Later, organize each file box into two other file boxes. Put these someplace else. Then buy some plastic organizers, so that eventually you need an organizer for all your organizers.

Can you rotate your whole setup 90 degrees, and hang the bikes on the wall with the window? It looks like you have more real estate to work with on that wall. If you need to use the window, I guess that would eliminate that idea, however.

Interesting thought, but the 4 feet from wall to door is what I have to work with. Basically a 4' x 7' rectangle, and ONLY in that orientation.

I think people say that just to make the suffering more bearable.

I have not seen ANY evidence that the severity of the reaction relates to the efficacy of the vaccine.

I have even had patients ask me if they didn't get the "real" shot because they did not have a strong reaction. I tell them the bolded line above.

Bummer. Ceiling, maybe? Align them to hang with their wheels between the wheels of the bikes on the wall.

I've been cogitatin' on putting up a single set of hooks on the wall with the window and hanging one bike there. Probably Mrs. Peel, since that's the bike I've put the most work into.

I had worried that Mrs. GeneJockey would be upset with me having so many bikes, but I realized that my clutter makes her feel better about her own clutter.

We joke that she has a whole shelf of "Get Rid Of Your Clutter!" books.

With the Smallpox vaccine, there's a correlation between "take", i.e. developing a pock at the site, and protection. No take, no presumption of immunity.

In this particular case, since the mRNA vaccines are >95% effective, there's no reason to think there's any correlation.

There was a time, many years ago, when music was my primary hobby, that my wife asked why I needed ANOTHER guitar. I asked her why she needed more than one pair of black shoes. She paused, turned around, and walked out of the room without another word. She never asked that question again.

My wife has a plausible answer to that question. Would not do me any good to take that approach.
