Ligo batteries and the TSA

Has anyone traveled with Ligo batteries in their carry on bags? They are supposed to be TSA kosher for a set of three or fewer but does the TSA know this? Any voices of experience out there?

"With airline approval, passengers may also carry up to two spare larger lithium ion batteries (101–160 Wh) or lithium metal batteries (2-8 grams)."

One always has the option of shipping a lithium battery UPS Ground to a location in advance. Better to rent an ebike at one's destination or use a non-ebike.
