How to Remove Gloss From Matte Finish Carbon Frame

I have a black matte finish carbon frame. Over time, I think grease from my hands and probably sunscreen have caused the top tune to become glossy. Is there a way to treat this area so that it returns to its original matte glory?

There are specific cleaning products for matte finishes, check automotive detailer suppliers.

a little spray of WD40 and a rub with a soft scouring pad will work.

The last thing to touch a matte finish with is an abrasive of any type.

Matte is due to an extremely fine surface roughness. Rub it enough and the roughness gets polished out and becomes more glossy.
