H. C. Strudwick built their own cycles, but this is a Holdsworth-built Grubb:

In this case, the bike shop was also the builder. Bikes used to be built in the basement to be sold upstairs in the London shop. Somehow, this one found its way to Alabama, before I brought it home with me to Ohio. F.W. Evans died in 1944, but his shop survived and Evans Cycles is still in business today.

The decal is pretty rough, but you can still make out part of the address: 44-46 Kensington Rd

Luckily, H. Lloyd has replacements.

Cupertino Bike Shop sticker from the classic period. I had Gus Salmon reproduce a few of these - this is the original.

REW Reynolds built their own frames (and bought some in), but this is a Holdsworth-built Freddie Grubb that was sold at their shop in Northampton.
