Got my 93 Cannondale out for the red bike pictures but had not ridden it in a long time. Saddle was way low but I put 10 miles on it. Bought this six years ago. This was a replacement frame for the sellers father. Had no wheels but set up as a Dura Ace down tube 7-8 speed. I had to clime up into a attic to get and it looked pretty much like new.

This whole thread is pure eye candy. Here's my 1986 SR800 with some cool black and gold Suntour Superbe 
I think this bike looks beautiful, but I barely ride it...I've been spoiled with 10-speed indexed, but I also can't bear to take it apart and modernize it yet. Cannondales are gorgeous in my opinion, and I don't need more bikes.. but I want more Cannondales!

Looks fine to me. Those markings are from previous positions its been in and ridden (mild flexing gradually wears off the anodizing). I've had this with a number of (used) stems I've bought. Some black market will tidy things up nicely.

I’ve been eyeing this bike on the local marketplace for a few months, finally bit the bullet with spring knocking at our door in Canada.
The group is a mix of ultegra/105/tiagra with bontrager race lite wheels.

I finally tensioned the rear wheel on my 83 ST. I haven’t ridden it in a long time due to the wheel and I am kicking myself now. I really had a great commute today, feels like a rocket, and so smooth! Honestly, this might be my best riding bike.

All of the 80’s ST Cannondales are marvelous riders.
My 88 gets more miles each year than any other bike in the stable.

Thanks to everyone in this thread I'm the new owner of a neglected but ridable '89 60cm I think SR400. Looks like it got pulled out of a dumpster but has a almost complete 105 group set but the triple crank set is depressing. On the plus side it shifts like butter even though the cables are rusted and I've gotta get some posts under my belt...
