ISO: fork for small frame
I'm in need of a 1" threaded fork for a small bike. Head tube measures 10.5 cm, so likely I need something with a 12-13 cm steerer. English threaded, preferably. Not fussy about eyelets or rake; as long as it's reasonably straight or easily straightened (I have tools). Plenty of bits to trade if we go that route. TIA!

Do you have a coop Neal? I’ll go by mine if you need and take a look. I was there not long ago and they have a bin full of threaded forks. Canti or caliper brake?

Caliper brake. This is for a late model Legnano, so likely 700c wheels. I do have a couple of co-op options in case I can’t score something here.

I have a fork threading die. So you/I could cut down something and make it work. Otherwise, also have a pretty short Vitus fork, but it has the aluminum steerer. Not sure if that is a benefit or a drawback for you, but it is what it is!! I think that's all that's available chez Carlson for now, but wanted to throw it out there!! Also I believe I owe you one.

I have a longer one from a 1970 Raleigh Record that you're welcome to have. I can send to you as-is in all its 190 mm glory, or I can cut it down (I recently got the pipe-cutter to make very neat work of it) to a shorter length so you and scarlson can tap it.

I have a couple orphan forks that may work for you Neal, one is a Trek, Reynolds 531, campy drops, with eyelet. Steered measures 12cm, with 300mm of threads. There is some pitting on one of the tines, but still appears structurally sound and easily filled with bondo. The second one is a Tange 1L (never knew what those numbers stood for on Tange forks). It has Tange TL drops, double eyelets, and chromed crown and lower 1/3 of tines. It has 13.3cm steerer with about 400mm of threads. Of course it is somewhat heavier than the Trek.
