I sold my fat bike since I can’t take enough time off skiing to ride it.
So I’m down to 5. But I also maintain my wife’s two - just to be 😊.

a commuter/city/kid shuttle and a road bike.
i have my eye on a super light hardtail, and maybe an aethos. but i don't have suitable secure storage for all four, plus our scooter and my daughters' bikes.

I have two. One is my daily rider, the other is an older mountain bike that I'm fixing up so I have something to ride while I do a long overdue overhaul of my primary bike. If I had more space..I'd probably have more.

Yeah - too many by just about any standard.
Been a regular cyclist from age 35 to today, age 70.
Original to me:
4 roadies w Ergo 10 drivetrains
1 tandem
Then my prior ownership of friction shifting vintage roadies took over. Today there are over a dozen rideable 70s & 80s bikes, with 3 or 4 longer term projects. Good tires coupled with good frames are my ‘thing’.
edit: the sig line is lacking some more recent acquisitions.
Been a regular cyclist from age 35 to today, age 70.
Original to me:

I own two bikes, both Trek Domanes. One is a 2019 SL 5 and the other is a 2021 SLR 7. The 2019 Domane will eventually be slaved to a Wahoo Kickr Core so my wife and I can each have our own smart trainer.

I have three.
Raleigh Tripper is my main bike...SS and it has a coaster brake, which is a blast.
Raleigh One Way...SS or fixed with flip flop hub. Similar to Tripper, but different.
'97 Specialized Rock Hopper...pretty much stock. Rarely ride it. Hard to get rid of for sentimental reasons.
