What is the purpose of this screw?
Can someone tell me what this screw does in a Nuvinci 380 / Gates belt drive setup? It is on both sides of the rear wheel.

Looks like some kind of centering screw for the adjustable dropouts. What bike?

How do you tension the belt drive?
If it was a chainsaw, you would loosen the other bolts slightly, then tighten the tensioning bolt.
Then once tensioned and centered, tighten everything down.

You can actually see what it threads into. Look at the inside of the non-drive side dropout in the first picture. As mentioned, that controls the dropout position and belt tension.

With a mid-drive, an eccentric bottom bracket won't do.
A bolt on each side is a simpler alternative to a "chain" tensioner.
Tugnuts on Dutch bikes ("Kettingspanner").

Thank you folks. So the purpose is to increase belt tension by tightening this screw? (I am having a hard time finding documentation about this)
