Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I like all my saddles.

Madone has the Bontrager Aeolus

Cervelo has he ISM prologue Thanks to Bahhumbug

The Ritchey has the WTB Deva

With the new bike build, I am thinking about putting the ISM on that and getting another bontrager seat for the cervelo.

Question. What do I torque the hoods to on the carbon cervelo bars? 5 nm 6 nm?

I’m actually looking at an Arione R3. Is it too firm for you? Sizing/shape off?

I’m looking for something slightly softer than my Selle Bobcat. Don’t need to be in a Cadillac. Just don’t need to be in a 911 GT3 either.

Torque specs are a max value, not a target value. With all bike parts CF, you torque them until they don't move under normal use, rather than crank them to the max value.

If your don't already have some carbon assembly paste, you should pick some up.

Just 'til they don't move too easily, I smack 'em pretty hard with an open hand and go 'til they only move a little bit. Some bars have grit in the shifter clamp area and don't take much at all to stay in place.

This. Don’t over think it, and don’t overtighten it.

Hey, Mojo31 , if you haven't seen it, the video of the Sydney-Hobart start is pretty entertaining, with on board image and audio from a couple of super maxis and great helo shots. Same mayhem as on every amateur ****box I've crewed on. It's on Youtube.

The firmness is fine, it's the shape that I don't like. I like to have a cut-out or relief channel.

Yes please! Gonna have to be my last sweets of the holiday season (I'm gonna count up to MLK Day as the holidays.)

I've been a little out of control lately - 3 batches of oatmeal raisin cookies, and one sheet of cinnamon rolls.

Saw it. Agree it was entertaining. I would have thought Andoo would have had a better start.

But, I’ve never sailed in a long distance race. How important is nailing the start?

Will do. Remind me if you don’t see it in a day or so. Have a lot to do tomorrow.

How many dimensions are there? I’m a Luddite who only knows waist and inseam on my peasant banana republic clothes
