Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Dang! During a lull in house painting gigs, I spent a couple of weeks washing cars at a Toyota/Mitsu/etc dealership in Oregon and they washed EVERY car in for service, even those just in for an oil change. I only got to drive a couple of Porsches though, and they were both front engine - 928 and a 944. Best car I got in was an Evo IV.

My wife was seething more. It's just going to take a couple of hours to get her curvvy butt clean and pretty again.

In your case, buy less since you can do it all on one.

The Porsche/Land Rover/BMW/Jaguar/Volvo/Volkswagon dealer that I use washes every car that goes through its service bays.

At the Porsche shop, they will even run it through if you just pull in and ask for it. Too far to go for a car wash though. Plus, my OCD requires me to wash my car by hand.

Oh I was handwashing - it was quite the workout! I was impressed, they had real chamois and everything.

Occasionally, I have left a few souvenirs when they parked squarely in the middle of leaf operations (under the oak trees), but nothing like that. Amateur hour.

You should have an off-line chat with the never-ending problem people so this thread stays on topic.

Pass. You can dump all pies in the lake, as far as I'm concerned, except for chocolate/chocolate pecan.

Rain moved out and it's sunny now, warm enough for short sleeves. But alas . . . WINDY.

Another walk/jog activity is about to commence. Sad.

That stuff is stuck on there because the car was a little wet when they did it. The insult to injury is that I pay them for their "work."

They can afford it and she will be happier with a bike around 25 pounds, as opposed to a 32 pound enduro bike which would be silly for her purposes.

She has no real experience with mountain biking, just dirt roads and a few flat trails. I could link something I think would be appropriate but I tried that last time.

I don't know what's wrong, I think the rear suspension is clunking or something. Yeah, when they tried to buy tires the last time she wanted the exact tire that was on it but they're no longer made. I don't know what they ended up with but I couldn't help then, either.

When I had my K2 the rear shock blew up Noleen was in some kind of dispute with K2 so they wouldn't help. I bought a custom shock from Risse Racing and it was lighter and worked way better than the Noleen ever did. When I broke the frame I took the shock off and gave it to a friend who just happened to have a similar bike.
