I like an Old Fashioned, but that seems like a lot.

When my daughter graduated from high school, we threw a party at our house. My parents and sister were down from IL, and my sister from San Diego came in for it. My Cali sister and parents were staying at my brother's in Fort Worth. My IL sister and her husband (BIL) were staying at our house along with some other people.
Toward the end of the party, I heard my Cali sister and dad argue about who was driving back to Fort Worth with my sister exclaiming that my dad was too drunk to drive. My dad argued that he was not letting her drive his car. I told them I would settle the discussion with my breathalyzer. Pulled it out, and my Cali sister blew clean. My dad blew about .09 so he wasn't driving (we actually got into an argument as to whether I could stop him, and I told him that if he drove I would call the police - yeah, we've had those types of moments in our lives). Cali sister won.
Then, the BIL staying with us said he wanted to take the test since he was keeping up with my dad all day. Mind you, my dad was about 260 at the time, and my BIL is all of 150 wet. He blew .12! I was just thankful that he did not puke in the house.

There was that woman on Rte 58 in Va which has notorious sections of road where you do not go one mile over.
She facebook lived the pulling over and was the most obnoxious person I have ever seen. Tried to make it about everything under the sun other than the fact she was speeding. Then tried to play a sad pathetic victim. It’s insane how much mental health goes unchecked in this world. She refused to sign the ticket. I wish I could remember how it ended.

scary thought, but at any given time while on the road atleast one driver in your vicinity is intoxicated, and I guarantee the BAC is higher than .12.

Or the time when Mrs. GJ was was a supervisor in the Extended Ed. office at SF State, and a woman came in DEMANDING immediate payment for a class she'd dropped, and was loud and obnoxious when informed that she needed to fill out a form, and she'd get a check in the mail. She filled out the form (and stole the pen) and demanded it be processed ASAP!!!
After she left, Mrs. GJ took her form and put it on the bottom of the stack.

Drivers will take the window washer fluid reservoir and fill it with alcohol, move the line so that they can access it in the car while driving. Sadly this is also fairly common.

EDIT: It would probably take bugs off the windshield, but with all the sugar in it it probably doesn't dry too clean.

When I first moved to Portland there were TONS of intersections with no traffic control whatsoever. Being young and dumb, we'd often speed up and yell "4-way NO STOP". I'm lucky to be alive considering a lot of this was done in a 1964 Beetle.

I've gotten a verbal "warning" while riding, too. Not pulled over, strictly speaking, but I had pulled off the road and the police stopped next to me and told me I needed to stop at the sign.

Sounds like what Mrs. GJ and I call "Paying the A-hole Tax", like when you verbally abuse people in service jobs who have momentary power over you and they make you pay for it. Like yelling at your mechanic when he's got your car in the shop, or yelling at a server in a restaurant.
Or the time when Mrs. GJ was was a supervisor in the Extended Ed. office at SF State, and a woman came in DEMANDING immediate payment for a class she'd dropped, and was loud and obnoxious when informed that she needed to fill out a form, and she'd get a check in the mail. She filled out the form (and stole the pen) and demanded it be processed ASAP!!!

Mrs. GJ had a permanent falling out with a friend she'd been really close to after too many incidents like that. I wonder why people would do that? I mean, what do they hope to prove, or accomplish by berating a service employee? And especially someone who handles their food?

Hmmmm, only $850 for this Willier, maybe it's time to get a crabon road bike. I usually need a stubby stem to ride 55s but not THAT stubby, and then it has those garden hose tyres on it, and unfortunately no tre colore graphics...

Last night I got home just in time to get kitted up for Zwifting at about 6 minutes before 6. I've been doing the Tour de Zwift rides, and I saw that one was about to start at 6, and that the Long ride was 21 miles. That suited what I wanted to do, so I signed up. Once I was going I realized it was in "New York", and I was reminded why I HATE riding in "New York" - too many ups and downs in too short a distance, plus in the imaginary flyover segments, there are steep pitches of 15% or so. Bleah. I missed getting into the top 100 out of 208, but I did manage NOT to get into the BOTTOM 100. That was a tiring hour!
