she can get ready on her own, but they’re not here every day and I don’t want them to sit alone at breakfast. Wife and I take turns in the AM who gets to workout while the other stays with the kids. Today is her day to work out.

I had a cop running radar in a 30 mph zone on a downhill shake his finger at me once when I was doing 35-40. Didn't chase me. though.

Dude, there are like three people that are straight ridiculous. It’s amazing how someone can just fire from the hip and when they miss, they keep firing. Narcissist I presume.
I realized that I am not a real enough cyclist so my humble opinion bears no weight in the General Forum. Kudos to Gene and Eric for trying. Man, they are persistent.

Did you ever wonder what a day in the life of a velo vol is really like?
Does it work or have a job?
What does it do when not raking leaves?
As spring turns to summer, what goes through its mind?
When a tree falls, and the velo vol hears it, who does it tell?
Is the Twitter hard wired to it for instant feed, or does it have to manually connect?
Does it sing bedtime lullabies to the little mousies?
Is its real name "Mickey"?
The questions are endless.

6:35, salty roads, 31 degrees with 2 kids that need to go to school.
I have not yet been back on the bike- going to hit the trainer today and see how it goes. It’s been a week so I imagine it’ll be fine, but I have this irrational fear that I will have zero fitness and it will make me not want to ride

And yet another first. I removed a link from the chain on the Trek 930 this morning, and the pin would only push out from one side. I found myself wishing for one of those nice chain tools I saw in the video the other day. I will keep an eye out for one, even if I only use it occasionally. I have never regretted buying quick link pliers. The other tool I have coveted for awhile now is a fourth hand.

Yes, in maintaining my health.
Presumably, BUT
(1) with all the leaves down one can see a ways into the woods, and I didn't see anyone
(2) it had rained earlier, and everything in that area was muddy/yucky. Why would anyone go slop around in that? Then again, with the gravel/dirt miscreants here, maybe this is the wrong crowd to discuss that rationally.

But, yeah, it's quite a cast of characters. Even guys who seem to like the abuse they get.
