I saw you posting this on FB the other day!!!
******g SCORE!!!
I went to a vacation bike rental place- and in the bathroom, they had a framed poster for the 1985 760- something like "weapon of mass destruction" or something like that.

Sweet Victory!
With the vintage market so down with "cheap" bikes like this, why would anybody ride some clunky Huffy or Varsity?? Makes no sense.

Nice! I like the seatstay details. Trek eliminated the infamous seatstay caps that cracked across the too deep TREK lettering but i guess this is before the dropouts with the lug sockets that work, are easy to build with and reliable but that I never liked the look of. (I have an '83 Trek 5something with the old caps. here is now a lot of third party braze under them and the right hand "R" is filled in. It's now a TR K.
Edit: GP4s! Love those rims. My Mooney wore a pair (in both senses of the word "wore" in the Pacific NW lava dust world. After the rear brake surface wore until you could nearly read newsprint lettering in places through the sidewall, it collapse when I bunny-hopped a pothole poorly. Inch deep dent. Bumped 10 miles home. At mile 17,000 give or take a few. Front sidewall was through in places also. The entire life of those wheels I did no more than tweak perhaps three spokes and replaced tires. That with Wheelsmith's very light bladed spokes, basically shaped DT Revolutions. (On rough roads - very comfortable wheels!)

Beautiful. Looks like a wonderful restoration or a nearly NOS Trek.

It still has that little carboard brake adjuster retainer on the front brake. I'm beginning to think never ridden.
And no brake track wear on either set of wheels.

Congrats! One of the best color combos around. Just needs a yellow San Marco Concor.
