Too Much to Ask For: 12mm x100 Thru Disc Dynamo
Is there any other Dynamo hub in 12x100 thru besides Schmidt's $400 unit. I'm regretting the purchase of a "modern road standard" bike. Please help...

Siva Cycle The Siva Atom Portable Charger
Small cheap and works well. I have had one for a few years now and I can move it from bike to bike in about 5 quick mins.

Yes, this is the SON 28 12, with shipping will be over $400...!!!
Perhaps, I should wait until more manufacturers, like Shimano, etc.begin to produce the 12mm x 100 "road standard."
One would think with all this "adventure bike" stuff going on that there would be more demand & competition in this space...

Peter White has Dealer accounts , so you may be able to buy thru one of the dealers, in LA and not pay shipping.
My LBS has an account.
Or go to a German seller and cost less including shipping.
SP is Taiwan made, so Shimano like..

Of those 4 manufacturers, two currently offer what you want. One offers at a price you find too much, and one offers it at a much lower price. I think that's pretty good for a really small subset of the overall market. Maybe Shimano will eventually get into the market, too, but I feel like you're doing well to have two options. I currently have two Shutter Precision hubs. One is around a year old and one is at least two years old, and they have been working fine.

Good luck. At least you’re putting it in quotes, so realize this isn’t actually gonna happen? That’s just not the way the market works anymore. Each company has to come up with a new “better” thing for marketing every few years. There will never be another standard after the normal QR. If there ever is, it won’t be for a while until they’ve exhausted all of the other possibilities. Look at the MTB world. They came up with through axle Long ago, and claimed it as the new standard. Now over a decade later they’re still coming out with new “better” versions, usually just a slight size change so that nothing is compatible and you have to buy their new patented stuff.

SP Dynamo from Bike-Components works out to be US$200 delivered SON is $300.... Only thing with SP is you are limited to 32 and 36 spokes I think... Nothing wrong with SP Dynamo, I have SON, SP and Shimano, they're all good.
