Coventry Transport Museum Bike Collection

I visited this amazing museum today which has a huge collection of old bikes to modern ones (alongside their car exhitis of course).

The Rover Safety Bike (1888)

Description of the Rover Safety Bike

Dursley Pederson (circa 1905) - alternative frame geomerty to the "normal" diamond shape

That seat might be quite comfy!

More detail about the Dursley Pederson. Dursley is a village in Gloucestershire which also had a very famous engine maker (Lister Petter).

The Covid bike - one at the front and one at the rear for maximum spacing!

Gulson Touring Bike - note the very narrow handlebars which must have made it had to steer and keep straight.

Story of the Gulson Touring Bike - a love story. He must have loved the woman dearly who caused him to ride 120 miles on that bone shaker!

WW1 folding bike circa 1918

The famous Chopper Bike!
