Saw this one for sale in The Netherlands (so not mine!). Same kind of bicycle, but with head badge. Anyone recognize this badge? Seems to read P.P.R. and a globe beneath it. Just quite curious!

Look at that, the COL d'ASPIN decal was original after all. Lascauxcaveman and Bianchigirll pointed out that the top tube decal was a model name or some form of original decal.

Yes, the decals are quite original indeed (as a model indication?), but the actual manufacturer is still clouded in shrouds. The decals further seem to show some kind of world record colors and that in combination with the Col d'Aspin decal make you wonder. Also 'champion' in the globe head badge.

Turned out to be 'repainted by the last owner', built up with 'nice parts' according to the seller, so it probably isn't original. Remains a curious case.

Are you sure? Your bike and this one are not the same frame (yours is better). Look at the seat-stay tops and head lugs, for instance.
