One piece Titanium Seat Stay for Bents
Cam at Bauhaus WheelSports out of Brooksville, Florida, fabricated a one piece titanium seat stay for my BacchettaCA2.0 to replace the jittery telescopic one that come with the bike. Sweet ! Holds the bike tight and stiff. Much better platform to pedal from & better control. Looks great !

No, it's fixed. It's 13 inches, we changed the factory angle as well for a better angle of support. I've experimented with different angles thoroughly and found my "sweet spot". The more rigid & responsive high racers have fixed seats, Zockras & M5s come to mind. Stick frame isn't as sexy, but this thing is tight now. I love it.

Interesting idea. I guess you can still swap it out if you wish to sell it? BTW did you try Velogenesis clamps?

The lack of stability didn't come from the telescopic effect that the clamps secured. It came primarily from the separate individual little brackets that attached the seat stays to the seat which had a gap to both sides of the tubing inside the brackets. This now is also one solid piece as opposed to two. Even before installing it you couldn't pry it and make it flex at all. The slight bend at the bottom where it bolts to the frame also allows to get rid of all the extra domed washers & spacers.

Shouldn't the sprint braces on a CA2 be made out of carbon? Looks nice, BTW.

Couldn't have been cheap but you seem well-satisfied.

Well the carbon ones would still be two separate rods...........my main objective was to have a single piece brace...........most stable platform. It does look nice.........I still have to properly buff it out.

It's a simple matter to make a carbon bridge. And a carbon mounting plate too if that's what you wanted.
