Struggling to fit rear wheel in with SRAM axs
Hey, I'm really finding it hard to refit the rear wheel on a rival Axs rear mech. The tension is super strong and I can't get enough pull to fit the cassette back in. Any tips?

Try harder? Seriously, there's only one way to do it and it's not that hard.
ETA: Unless the frame has rear facing dropouts, then it's a very slight pain. Op...regular or rear facing?

Regular, it's a tcr advanced pro. I got it in eventually but scuffed up the cage. My Shimano bikes are super easy.

It's no different. Pull the body of the derailleur up/back and put the wheel in.

you're not racing, right?
chain is on the inner ring? chain/RD are set to the smallest cog?
although this all shouldn't be necessary, it makes doing much easier...
Pull the RD body back, with thumb pushing down on the jockey cage, forefinger to pull the wheel/axle into the dropout.(QR rear setup - TA is simpler for getting the wheel in)
if your rear wheel uses a QR, the end knob can resist getting past the RD mount... tilt the rear wheel just a hair to get the knob part in, then bring wheel back to get the NonDrv side into the dropput...

Although, like written above, it should be easy, i find that my AXS bikes are far and away more difficult to get the rear wheel in than any bike I've had (almost 50 years). But, every once in a while they just pop in like they should. I figure it's user error, being my first disc brake and clutched RD bike. I'll get it sooner or later, but luckily I haven't had much call to remove and replace the wheels.

If you have a 2x front, Sram AXS won't let you put the front on the small chainring and the rear on the smallest sprocket. It will only go to the second smallest sprocket on the rear. It won't allow cross-chaining in that way.
So you have to put the chain on the second smallest sprocket to put the wheel back on.
