Another view of the famous "grip fist" wood & rubber bike repair rack. (My goodness, maybe I should patent this thing).

These little rubber thingies are super fine. There's no way they will scratch the frame. Highly recommended. Love em.

Looking at them, I can't figure out how they work. Maybe it's just me. What are they normally used for?

Pink is a wonderful color. Especially when combined with yellow. Mine has no color. Polished Aluminum. Love it also.

I think your Bikestand is far superior to any Tri-Pod stand. It is less expensive, more stable and easier to work around. (No tripping over the Tri-Pod legs) I hate those Tri-Pod stands.

If it is sto bought, that means you didn't make it.
Not sure I know what you are getting at here.....I think I am well aware of what store bought is and used it correctly.

You do realize that you are in the "some of us" part of my comment and not those that "have a store bought" part of the comment.

In other words a "Bodge"?

Just kidding...I can appreciate making things to solve a problem.

You have Totally Misconstrued my comment and turned it on its ear. It was not directed at you in any way shape or form. It was poking fun in a good natured way at those who think that if it ain't bought, i.e. Marketed, it is not any good. I was not opposing what you said but joining you in agreement. There is a place for making things yourself.

Such are the dangers of the written word on bulletin boards (forums), Email, text messaging, etc. Too easy to misunderstand.

This is hilarious. I was scrolling down to get to another comment and all I saw was,"In other words a "Bodge." Not knowing what a "Bodge" was,but assuming it was sarcastic, I searched it and I was right. I was getting ready to rip you big time. I mean Big Time. Then I read your whole post and the steam left my tank. Thanks for introducing to me an interesting word. I am still laughing.

Read the comment again in this context. Do you see the point I was trying to make? If not, then I duly apologize. For the point I was trying to make was diametrically opposed to your reaction to it. Diametrically. This is the clearest misunderstanding I have ever seen. From two people who do things with their hands because they like it that should know better.

That must work darn nice, stable, reaches the bike out and secures the bike well.

only downside, I don’t have internal routing so it rest on the top tube where the rear brake cable is. Haven’t figured a way around that yet, but it also hasn’t been an issue.
